About Green ISP

Our Mission

GreenISP was established to provide eco-savvy people with a cleaner and more socially responsible means of connecting to the Internet. To further assist in cleaning up the environment GreenISP will plant a tree for each client on their behalf.

At Green ISP our mission is to provide Carbon Neutral Internet Services to the general public. To achieve this we have calculated the impact of all our combined internal services and waste that we leave behind in the course of our daily work. Every little resource we use - paper in the office, electricity for our servers, petrol to get our staff to and from the office leaves its mark on the environment and has been included in our calculations.

Our Background

GreenISP is an Australian web hosting, internet and business infrastructure provider. With experience in delivering business grade web hosting, dedicated hosting, co location services, high speed internet access (broadband) and domain name registrations. Our clients are those with a green thumb and wish to choose a provider who is socially responsible, environmentally friendly and has a national focus.

Prior to the incorporation of Green ISP it's directors already had a reasonble idea of ways of reducing carbon emissions through simple tips like - turning off the office lights of an evening, limit paper usage and use electronic methods instead, duplex printing if printing is necessary - every little bit helps. The next major step was to implement a green energy policy. At Green ISP we work with power suppliers to utilise green (or clean) energy where possible, and where not possible due to technical constraints we offset this through carbon sink, or tree planting programs.

GreenISP is focussed on providing the structure and backbone required for all your business needs. We have the fundementals in place to ensure maximum uptime, high reliability and efficiency in a secure environment for all your web site and online project requirements. All this is backed by industry standard service level agreements and extensive hosting industry knowlledge.

Meet the Directors

Nathan Bird

Technical & Network Director
Nathan is responsible for the integrity, direction and expansion of the GreenISP network and the infrastructure supporting it. Nathan also provides leadership and a wealth of knowledge to the technical support team drawing upon his years of experience in the Internet Services market.

Nathan's qualifications include a Bachelor of Information Science and various indutry qualifications and certifications.

Nathan is a keen football ('soccer') player, currently playing in outdoor and indoor competitions as well as being a referee for Newcastle University's indoor competitions. Nathan also enjoys using his green thumb to further expand his ever growing organic backyard garden to one day attain self-suficient status.
