Data Centre

Our primary goal is to create a self sufficient and self sustaining network communications provider, this obviously involves the need to create a dedicated data centre that is driven by green power with a minimal eco-footprint. Until we reach that stage we have become partners with other various organisations in the industry to provide us with floor space in their data centre/s whilst we build up to our primary goal.

Each of our Sydney based servers reside in Global Switch's data centre which boasts security and technological advancements which are unparalleled in the Southern Hemisphere. This premium quality data centre includes:

  • Minimum N+1 Redundancy on Power Supplies
  • On-site diesel tanks with full-capacity generator fall-back in case of extended power failure.
  • State of the art cooling system helps ensure hardware stability. Consistently maintained within two degrees of 22°C.
  • Sophisticated fire detection and suppression ensures hardware integrity in the case of catastrophic hardware failure.

The Network

The following is a summary of some of the key features of our Network, which demonstrate our exceptional quality and reliability:

  • Premium bandwidth based on multiple peering arrangements, including Telstra, Optus, MCI/Verizon and Pipe Networks. These provide network redundancy, extremely low domestic latency, and optimal international connectivity.
  • 100 Mbs backbone access to ensure bandwidth bursts are available when required.
  • Highest quality wiring using industry standard wiring protocols.
  • Network security is provided by active Network Administration and System Administration, including the use of market leading CISCO PIX Appliances/Firewalls.
