What Is A Domain Name?
A domain name is the unique address used to identify and locate computers on the Internet, similar to your home address identifies your location to the post office. They also often convey information about the entity using the name or the purpose of the site in question. When choosing your name it is best to select something that reflects you and your business. .au Restrictions:
Some .au second level domain names have restrictions on who can apply for a domain. These rules are created and maintained by auDA. Please refer to the auDU policies first before applying for a domain name.
.au/.nz Free Transfers:
There is no charge for the transfer of .au and .nz domain names to Green ISP. If the domain however is due to expire shortly we will also contact you about renewing the domain, although there is no requirement for you to renew.
gTLD (.com, .net etc..) Domain Names:
It is a requirement of the registry that all gTLD (Top Level Domains) are to be renewed upon registration, for a period of one year (12 Months). This requirement is enforced even if the domain name was only recently renewed. As such please ensure you do wish to transfer the gTLD before requesting Green ISP to do so.
